The dangers of “fun in the sun”

While having fun in the sun this summer, please remember to stay hydrated! Sometimes we don’t realize how much water we lose when playing in the sun, even at the pool or beach.

 

The human body is made up of approximately 70-percent water. So it makes sense that fluids are vital for the majority of our bodily functions and that the body can become dehydrated fairly quickly due to excess perspiration, hot weather, sun exposure, and lack of fluids throughout the day.
