The 5th<\/span>\u00a0grade students over at Woodland Elementary have been working very hard the past few months on their school garden! They are quite excited about all of the plants and growing in their garden. On Wednesday\u00a0the students had got the chance to harvest\u00a0all of their hard work. Their harvest of\u00a0vegetables and herbs included variety of lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers, carrots, cabbage, parsley, basil and green onions. With all of those ingredients the students\u00a0were able to prepare a large salad for everyone in the class to enjoy! According to Mrs. Mayhew, an intermediate teacher at Woodland, the kids absolutely loved the salad and ate every bite! Woodland’s 5th grade class\u00a0has\u00a0done a wonderful job with their school\u2019s garden and we are ecstatic to show how well it\u2019s coming along! Keep up the great work!<\/p>\n
