April 11th, 2015 – Pasco County Schools is proud to host its 1st Annual Health & Fitness Fair. Come join us on Saturday, April 11th for an amazing time at Sunlake High School located at 3023 Sunlake Blvd, Land O Lakes, FL. Start the day off right with a healthy breakfast, then come on out for the 5K Run/Walk starting at 7:30am. Make sure to arrive by 7:00am to guarantee plenty of time for parking, stretching, and shoelace double knotting. All individuals who register will receive a T-shirt, and medals will be awarded for the top three men and women finishers, as well as the top two runners in each category. If the 5K sounds like too many K’s for you, everyone is welcome to enjoy the 1 Mile Fun Run starting at 8:30am.

After the heart gets pumpin’ and the muscles get their move on, slow down long enough to visit the free Health & Fitness Fair from 9:00am-1:00pm. Showcasing all the ways Pasco County is helping to build a healthier student body, the Health & Fitness Fair will have food demonstrations, face paintings, and free healthcare screenings. You’ll also get the chance to challenge friends and family members to jousting, dunk tanking, and dodge ball. So many reasons not to “dodge” this Health & Fitness Fair! As if that wasn’t enough, a few lucky winners will get ahold of some dynamite door prizes. Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, free haircuts, and how does free bread for a year from Panera Bread sound? Yes please!
Are you a Pasco County student or parent? Join us in the Sunlake High School cafeteria from 9:00am-11:00am for our Student Taste Plate. We’ll be sampling delicious new menu ideas, and collecting your feedback via our iPad surveys. Our 1st Annual Pasco County Schools Health & Fitness Fair is all about that B.A.S.S.
