The 5th grade students over at Woodland Elementary have been working very hard the past few months on their school garden! They are quite excited about all of the plants and growing in their garden. On Wednesday the students had got the chance to harvest all of their hard work. Their harvest of vegetables and herbs included variety of lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers, carrots, cabbage, parsley, basil and green onions. With all of those ingredients the students were able to prepare a large salad for everyone in the class to enjoy! According to Mrs. Mayhew, an intermediate teacher at Woodland, the kids absolutely loved the salad and ate every bite! Woodland’s 5th grade class has done a wonderful job with their school’s garden and we are ecstatic to show how well it’s coming along! Keep up the great work!
